Nepal: A Journey to Everest Base Camp

The trek was fairly smooth as we mainly hugged the side of the mountains. With herds of Yaks and Donkeys going back and forth we had to be careful so as to not get in their way. After all there are no guard rails here.

Some time after the trek we came at a area to where we were greeting by and older fellow. It was a donation point reminding the people that keeping the mountain trails for tourists is hard work.

We dropped about 100 rupees each and proceeded along. Some ways down, we came across a film shoot. Who would have thought that we would see something like this here, but nonetheless it was a Telugu movie being filmed. We took a short break and watched them for 5-10 minutes.

We again reached our destination towards the end of the day. We reached Tengboche around 5PM and fully drained. As soon as we got into the room we both passed out for a couple hours. A simple dinner of porridge was hard to bring down. We were feeling the affects of loss of appetite. However the only way to pull through is to force yourself to eat it because in the end you’ll need all the energy you can get.

I decided to finally put the 60D to use and boy was I glad. I was able to get some awesome night time shots!
